IMPORTANT: While it is not required to have experience in this kind of game, I do not recommend this campaign as you first Call of Cthulhu Experience, since it is a long campaign and not every element of the game may show up in the first session. If you aren't sure Call of Cthulhu is a game for you I encourage you to sign up for an one shot introductory adventure with me or other GM. These adventures are better designed to showcase the different elements of the game in one sitting. Also Masks of Nyarlathotep is a huge campaign packed with content and very rewarding payoffs, but it is a big time commitment as it contains months worth of gaming. While racism is not a main theme, historical injustices of the era and setting are acknowledged for authenticity. These elements are not highlighted or directly experienced by player characters, ensuring the story remains respectful and immersive.
