About
Hi there! I've been running and playing games for over 15 years now. I got my start at local conventions, making friends and running games. In 2016, I ran my first full campaign, Curse of Strahd. Since then, I have run Curse of Strahd several more times alongside homebrew campaigns. Through my time as a Game Master, I have helped children, adults, veterans, and new players alike. I have played in over two dozen different systems. When I started playing games, it was Dungeons and Dragons 3.5. Our group transitioned to 4e and then 5e. I strive to provide a welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable and have fun.
Gaming Style
I like to provide meaningful encounters, memorable NPCs, and interesting combats. I always strive for a balance between the three pillars of roleplaying games: Exploration, Combat, and Roleplay. I aim to be knowledgable in the rules and adhere to them.
Game experience
I have played over two dozen different systems in my 15 years as a Game Master. I am always excited to try a new RPG or delve into an old favorite. My favorite games tend to be narrative or roleplay heavy.

I had a good time :D
A well-run game that gave a good introduction to the rules and mechanics of the game. Katy is very kind and skilled at explaining the rules. The world and the location that we explored felt real, and our actions felt like they had proper consequences. Thank you for a great session!
The GM is patient and explains concepts well, to inexperienced players, while making the game more challenging for players with experience. We had a very good time in this one-shot adventure. My fellow players were also good humored and seemed to be having an equally good time.
Katy was a great DM - she understands how to make new players feel welcome and encouraged to try stuff out, and she’s very good about explaining all the game workings - instead of dumping all the rules on you at once, she breaks everything down into bite-sized pieces. Great first role-playing game experience.
I had lots of fun! GM also patiently explained things and was accommodating.
